Felicia's stories.

 About Sunday.

My Sunday routine is very simple. It's a day to reset, plan and schedule for the week. I woke up early, prepared for church, and after church, I got myself a delicious waakye. In the evening l had a film night. I watched a documentary about the Queen of Egypt. Her name is Queen Cleopatra. She was willed to rule the country with his brother. After some time sibling rivalry came in. I didn't finish my documentary. Will give you the rest of the gist later.

Cry.

Abena is a girl from a middle-class family, has a wonderful parent who cares for her. A teenage girl wanted to have fun and have the liberty to do whatever she wanted. Abena met one fine boy called Kwaku. Kwaku was the star of the school. A skilful footballer who excels in academics as well.  A few months later, Abena found herself in a dilemma of aborting her pregnancy or informing her parents. Abena cried her heart out. Knowing how disappointed her parents will be and her life being at stake during the abortion, she mustered the courage to tell her parents despite Kwaku's denial.

Mr.Mensah.

Caroline and Grace are the wives of Mr.Mensah. Both of them have a son. There was a car crash on the M1 motorway. Mr Mensah was involved. He was hospitalised for some time due to several injuries. His family spent all they had on him but he eventually passed away. After his burial, there was confusion among the wives and the family. Mr. Mensah left a house in a nice neighbourhood without a will. The family claims ownership of the house and the two wives gave reasons why they deserve that property.

Incident.

It was a sunny Saturday morning in the small coastal town of Cape Coast. The annual Beach Festival was in full swing, with families and friends gathered to enjoy the music, food, and beautiful scenery. Lily, a 10-year-old girl, was excitedly building sandcastles with her brother, Max, near the shoreline. Suddenly, dark clouds rolled in, and strong winds began to pick up. The sky turned a deep shade of grey, and the air grew cooler. Before anyone could react, a fierce storm swept in, bringing heavy rain and powerful gusts. The festival-goers scrambled to seek shelter, but Lily and Max were separated from their parents in the chaos. Panic set in as the siblings struggled to stay together, holding hands and shielding themselves from the wind-driven rain.

As quickly as the storm had arrived, it began to pass, leaving behind a trail of destruction and a group of shaken festival-goers. Lily and Max were eventually reunited with their relieved parents, who had been frantically searching for them.

Festival.

It was a Festival week in the town I live in. People were making merry. Eating the native foods and drinking the local sweet juice such as sobolo, asana and the rest. On the main day, chiefs dress in the finest African Dress and to the beat of a talking drum. Their dance communicates to the audience. Tourists from all over the world come to learn about the culture and entertain themselves. I'm Abena and I love our Festival because it tells a story of how our ancestors fought hard to make us settle in our current location. In the night, a bonfire is set and Queen Mother Efya tells African tales that entertain and educate us.
